EDucate, a subcommittee of the Student Dietetic Association, is an on campus resource of San Francisco State University that strives to educate the community about eating disorders and disordered eating. We provide education, cause awareness, and offer resources pertaining to eating disorders and disordered eating to students on campus.
Through peer education we provide meetings and information regarding the signs and symptoms of eating disorders as well as offering resources for those who need assistance, and guide those who need help to proper resources. Our goal is to provide valuable knowledge regarding eating disorders, which will be beneficial to dietetic students and their future clients.
Although EDucate does not provide counseling, we do provide a safe environment where support and leadership is offered, and where resources are made available to help students receive the appropriate attention they need.
We hope you join us for a meeting or workshop. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
